You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and data teams to turn ideas into production-ready AI systems.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain AI systems end to end — from prototype to production.
● Design, build, and maintain clean REST APIs that expose AI capabilities to frontend and
third-party integrations.
● Develop and integrate conversational AI solutions to enhance user experience across
digital products.
● Design and deploy ML models to support intelligent, data-driven decision-making across
business use cases.
● Expose AI and ML outputs via secure, well-documented APIs consumed by internal and
external systems.
● Set up evaluation frameworks to measure and continuously improve model quality and
reliability.
● Build and maintain data pipelines that feed AI systems with clean, reliable data.
● Collaborate directly with founders and the frontend engineer to translate business needs
into AI solutions and APIs.
● Document architecture, API contracts, model decisions, and experiment results clearly.
● Experience in fintech, banking, or regulated environments.
● Familiarity with explainable AI and model fairness.
● Familiarity with MLOps practices — experiment tracking, model versioning, CI/CD for ML.
● Open source contributions or personal AI projects on GitHub.
Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related
field.
● Master's is a plus but not required.
● 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI, machine learning, or software engineering.
● Proven track record of building and shipping AI-powered features or products to real
users.
● Experience working in a fast-paced startup or product environment is a strong advantage.
● Proficient in Python and common AI/ML libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or
similar).
● Experience building and exposing RESTful or GraphQL APIs using frameworks such as
FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
● Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and building AI-powered
applications with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
● Experience with classification/scoring models (XGBoost, logistic regression, or neural nets)
— especially for structured tabular data.
● Comfortable with data handling — SQL, data pipelines, and working with messy real-world
datasets.
● Ability to deploy and maintain models and APIs in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or
Azure).
● Strong problem-solving ability — can break down complex problems and find practical
solutions.
● Strong communication skills — able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical
stakeholders.
● Ownership mentality — treats the product like a founder, not a task executor.
● Curious and continuously learning — keeps up with fast-moving developments in AI.
